The Panchakarma cure is the classic Ayurveda cure. This cure is used for the internal cleaning of slags through inner purification and for stimulating the metabolism.

It is a specialty of Ayurveda and lasts 2 weeks (10-12 treatment days).
This cure is particularly suitable for the chronically ill or for prevention in the case of a life-threatening lifestyle.

Ayurveda regards the disharmony of the three bioenergies - Vata, Pitta and Kapha - as one of the main causes of the disease.

Such disharmony can be caused by nutritional errors, constant stress, wrong lifestyle, etc.
With all of these regulatory disorders, slag forms in the body, which, if not intervened in time, can lead to various disease states. In order to bring this deterioration of the organism back into balance, Ayurveda offers various "cures". One of them is the Panchakarma cure.

Panchakarma means "five times purification", which means that the body can be purified in five possible ways. The type of cleaning depends on the constitution of the patient and the illness.
With such a treatment, both water-soluble and fat-soluble slags are excreted from the body.

The principle is as simple as it is ingenious:
The patient is given a small amount of clarified butter to drink sober to dissolve the fat-soluble slags. After that, a large amount (1-2l) of boiled water should be drunk. The need for food is largely reduced due to the amount of butter, so that there is no feeling of hunger. Usually the patient does not eat a light meal until the afternoon.

A full-body oil massage with oils tailored to the patient is administered daily and a short sauna treatment is added.

If the body is greased inside and outside after 3-5 days, which can be recognized by various signs of the body, the patient can eat a slightly longer meal for 2 days.
Then comes the day when the inner slags are removed. This is done in different ways, depending on the constitution of the patient and the disease itself. After that, the food intake is very carefully rebuilt.

Such cures are indicated for chronic illnesses, for maintaining health in a particularly stressful lifestyle and for increasing energy in older people.

If a patient has to take medication all the time, it may well be that the dose can be reduced after the treatment. During the course of treatment, the patient receives important nutritional and lifestyle instructions for his constitution.
The duration of a cure depends on the illness and the sick person; the duration is usually 10-12 days.

The cost of such a cure relates to Ayurvedic treatments. If laboratory tests are necessary, they must be paid for separately; therefore it is advantageous if you could bring your latest laboratory findings with you.
